xxx. Till The End... Me and her... no one else there to tear us apart. It's like a fairytale. Only good things happen in the end. Nothing bad nothing that will scream at us 'Horrible day, something bad's bound to happen.' Yeah. Me and Doodle are glued together now. We're best of friends. And if anyone tried to tear us apart them better be prepared for a horrible hit and kick.
xxx. It was Sunday. I day of happiness and gladness and the church day. Smoke had gone to church and now returned home to talk and jabber about with her horses. She just needed someone to talk to. All of her friends were out of town enjoying a nice Thanksgiving. And sadly for Smoke, all of her relatives were nowhere to be found. She was dumped at an orphanage at age two and no one ever thought of going to adopt her. So she ran away at age fifteen. And then her life began new and refreshed. Suddenly someone hit her shoulder with force. Smoke abruptly turned around and saw the one who did it. It was her horse Doodle. Just daddling around and having fun like usual. Smoke couldn't stand it when animals all of a sudden did something to her but it was her horse. So she didn't mind. "Hey Doodle, you funny girl! Hey, you want to go for a quick ride?" Smoke stood up and stared at Doodle big eyes just staring at her. Then she patted her forelock and started gathering all of the tack. Eager to go for a early morning ride.
xxx. Smoke jumped onto Doodle which sent a head throw from her. They quickly left the stable door and onto the dirt path through the little white fence. Smoke smiling with happiness and Doodle just trotting onward. The rocks in the dirt just flying behind them even though it was just a trot. "Doodle, want to go to the beach? You want to go swimming girl" Doodle sent up a little whinney and Smoke turned her direction towards the beach. The grass grew tall and salty around the dirt path and the path started to disappear and turn to just grass. They were moving up a little hill. And when they reached the top they marveled at the site. There on the beach was one of Smoke's horses. Yes, Smoke owned the beach. For a long time now it has been hers because no one has discovered it's blue waters. Though it was only a small beach connected to Hearlum Lake it isn't that bad or dangerous. The white picket fence extended into the waters a little ways and then stopped and made it's way back to the barn. The lone horse stared at them then came galloping towards Doodle for a little greeting. It was Jenny and behind her a little filly waddling forward. Smoke greated them and so did Doodle. It was Hun. The filly born not to long ago and probably was just seeing the waters for the first time. Smoke grabbed onto Jenny's halter and tied a little rope onto it and started to lead her around. Jenny didn't mind and Hun had a hard time keeping up. You could tell the water was cold when Smoke led Jenny into the lake at a canter and Hun just took a step into it and backed off quickly. Staring at her mother have fun in the cool waters. Well, Smoke, Doodle, and Jenny were having fun. She was laughing out loud and Jenny was picking up her long legs and whinning ever second. Doodle was just concentrating on the waters. Making sure nothing else got near them. Even the fish weren't allowed near them.
xxx. When Smoke started to lead Jenny back to the beach after half an hour of fun she dropped her mouth and started at the beach. She quickly glanced around and Jenny was startled and panicking. Hun was gone. Disappeared like magic. Smoke quickly let Jenny go and Jenny started to dart up the hill. Doodle just followed without orders and Smoke had no problem with it. But when they got up to the top of the hill there was no little filly on it or in sight. Jenny started to panick real bad and so did Smoke. The little filly that they loved was gone. Or just misplaced. Face it, she was lost. Jenny quickly started to run towards the stable. Instead of following her Smoke kicked Doodle's flank and turned the reins. They were gonna go search everywhere. But what they saw next terrified them the most.
xxx. What they saw sent shivers down Smoke's spine and left Doodle looking wide eyed at the object. It was Hun, yes. But with someone. It was a vehicle and a man trying to put Hun into a trailer. Smoke quickly made Doodle canter towards the trailer. The man shouted "Stop!" and held his hand up. Doodle quickly reared up at his voice. Hun was glancing at Smoke. The trailer door was closed now and Hun looked like no hope was left for her to see her mother again. The man started talking again, "This here filly is mine now. I was told there was a mare running around too but I can't seem to find her." Smoke tried to say, but, but the man just shushed her. "I was told by the government I could have her." Doodle snorted. Smoke thought that Doodle was just gonna crush the man if she was let loose. Then Smoke could see a flash of white. It was Jenny. She heard her filly's cries and came darting towards the trailer. The man shouted and Jenny kicked the trailer door. It didn't open. So then she bit the latch and pulled hard. It opened and the man was startled. Hun came rushing out to her mother's side. Doodle was calmer but still mad at the man's actions. Jenny trotted to Smoke's side and so did Hun following. Smoke spoke, "These horses are mine. Their names are Flying High and Classic Bey. You can't own them." The man in total shock started to back off and mutter to himself. He stepped into his truck and gave a glance to the mini herd and drove off.
xxx. After the incident Smoke led the horses to the stable. All the horses seemed to be happy and Smoke was just straight out serious. It was nighttime now. She quickly gave each horse a rub down and that was it. It was nighttime and she was happy. She put them in their stalls and went to her bedroom and slept.
